Family Education

Groups and Workshops
Mental illness is a family experience. I provide education and collaboration to individuals and their family members to understand the mental illness and develop strategies for moving forward. I utilize an evidenced based approach of Family Psychoeducation that is proven to help families reduce crisis and feel less overwhelmed and burdened from the experience of mental illness. This approach was originally developed for adults or youth with Schizophrenia or a related disorder and their families, but has also been found helpful in addressing other mental health conditions. Contact me to learn more about family sessions and see the About page for a more detailed description.
Workshops schedule periodically at the Lawrence Creative Therapy Center. I can also work with you to create a custom work shop for your group.

Clinical Supervision
I am a Board-Approved Clinical Supervisor with the state of Kansas and offer group and individual post-graduate supervision for professional counselors. Additionally I provide post-graduate supervision for art therapists seeking their ATR. Contact me for more information on rates and availability.

Community Partnerships
I have been developing art therapy programing since 2005. Contact me if you are interested in integrating art therapy into your organization. I will work with you to develop a plan for contract art therapy services or professional consultation to explore ways of integrating arts within your existing programs.
